Why do people still buy wired keyboards or keyboards at all?

Question continued:  Wireless keyboards have been around for a long time and Cortana and other voice technology render keyboards obsolete.

A question answered on Quora January 15, 2019

I use a Dell wireless keyboard at work. When the battery in it is getting low on charge you won’t believe what it does. You’d expect maybe a flashing warning light, or just a sudden stop of function, but this is so much better. It starts to pseudo-randomly drop some keystrokes, usually starting with the “e”. Terrific.

Now I don’t know about you, but I’m not always watching what I’m typing on screen. Looking back and seeing a page full of squiggly red lines does nothing positive for my mood.

At a workstation I struggle to think of any advantage to a wireless keyboard, and I challenge anyone to come up with anything compelling. Sure, they have their place in some situations, but are for the most part a pain in the butt.
